I almost cried when I saw these!
It use to be such a special, surreal thing, you know waking up early saturday, getting a bowl cap-n-crunch and dragging the old cold brown leather bean bag chair out in front of the big old wooden curtis mathis tv and staying there for hours.
Content.
Simple.

What is even on anymore? Do they still show cartoons on saturday morning? Do your kids watch them?
No offsprings or tv here so I have no way knowing.
Any way fond memories!

They do still have Saturday morning cartoons. But, not as good, and it just doesn't mean the same. Kids these days have Cartoon Network, Nickalodean, etc. They can watch kids shows anytime of the day. So, it's just not as special to them. But, I'm with you, those were good times.
Fo' rall! Looney Toons, Sucka!! Not this Hanna Montana crap! "Oh, I'm just an average tweenager, but at night I put on a wig... and I'm so cool!"

That's what it was all about. Catching Waskle-wey Wabbits or Road Runners for dinner! Rabbit season/Duck season... Classic!!!
Ok, that was a lot of rambling, BUT if you are any where near over 22, you get it. I'm just saying, I was very excited when they brought the TMNT back. WAS! In the Second episode, they meet Casey Jones!? What!? He's a Strong Half-Second Season player! What is this crap? They should just go back to showing all the old stuff... just play the re-runs for us "older kids" and the youngsters will think it's all new! Sounds good to me.
(BTW, I think that Acme Anvil comment is my new catch phrase for when people start ticking me off! LOL)
Good post, Homey!
