I just found out that they are/were making a movie for it!!!!
This is really exciting, and sad news to me! It is directed by Spike Jonez, the genious behind "BEING JOHN MALKOVICH" It was originally scheduled to be released in the fall of 09, but there is some drama from WB studios about the movie being not kid friendly and too dark(sort of like the book), there is even threats that they might have to scrap it and re shoot to make it more kiddy, I sure hope not! Either way I still am stoked at the possibility, and have my hopes up high just based off the test screen clip and photo it looks like it would be DOPE!!!!!!

ooooh that would be awesome!! i can't believe chris has never heard of that book...his MOM didn't even remember it!!! i need to find it and buy it. :)
of "course" people are now going to say its not kid friendly. things have changed sooooo much since we were kids.
Hey! I hope they leave it dark... that's how it was meant to be! Did you hear that they are making a Goonies 2!! I know you want to see that.
