The golden Ticket

What is it for you?
You know, that little ticket we hold on to that keeps us from seeking God?
Somebody in the church hurt you, you are confused, pissed off, Christians are fake etc.
We hold on to it, I think most people have one (or 12) you know its that reason, or should I say excuse that you use to either not come to God at all or to not grow.
For some this ticket will be the eternal death of them. It will keep them from ever being born in to Gods kingdom. For others it will bring un necessary pain, and sorrow in to there lives.
We should try to lay it down, let it go.
For me it is many things.
One of my big issues is finances, or the lack there of.
It seems like I have made for my self a goal of finally being financially secure.
A silent contract that reads: “Once I get money then I can go on further in my relationship with God.”
There not always conscious descions, sometimes they are subconscious.
Another one for me is anger at the Almighty Head Honcho.
That’s right I am/was pissed off at God! Why? I felt like He abandoned me when I needed him the most. Would not deliver me from my pet little sin. In the end its not worth hanging on too. God knows best, but not all things happen because God made them happen.
This life is messed up, we are messed up from birth.
God loves us and may choose to let us suffer, but that does not mean He made it happen. Everything does not happen for a reason, and if there is a reason than I believe sometimes that reason is because we are messed up, not God, but us!
Holding on to our golden tickets is pointless, in the grand scheme of things.
Now
I might not have mentioned your golden ticket,
But
Whatever it is, we should try to lay it down, let it go.
We only have one life to live, and those golden tickets your holding on to may never be fixed, dont waste your one life chasing the wind, golden ticket in hand!
